GR Cornet Cups #1. This versatile cornet cup is brighter and almost trumpet like. The throat entrance is more open than a standard Bb mouthpiece. This cup is used for marching band, brass band Eb soprano work, Dixie/jazz and demanding solo work. The upper register is efficient and brilliant. Medium Low Alpha angle.

#2. This cornet cup is an excellent compromise with crisp articulations and an excellent upper register. This cup has a larger throat entrance than the GR #1 cornet cup and will blow more open. Our most popular cup for solo work, brass band Eb soprano work, and Dixie/jazz work. The upper register is very efficient, crisp, and clear. Medium Low Alpha Angle.

This mouthpiece has the same depth as the GR #3 Cornet cup but the throat entrance is more open like the GR Cornet #5. The cup volume is massive and similar to the older traditional cornet cups, although, GR has put the math to this cup and corrected many of the difficult playing issues. This cup features improved intonation, accuracy, upper register and articulation over other traditional designs popular today without a compromise to sound. Above high C can be more work. #8. You asked for big...You got it! This very large volume cup has proven to be very popular with the "British Style" Brass Band players. The #8 cup will provide the strong player a huge traditional Brass Band sound with power to spare. Larger than the #7 cup with improved intonation, slotting, and accuracy over "traditional" Brass Band mouthpieces of the past. This model can be more work but the benefits of the larger cup volume will be worth the effort for strong players. Medium Alpha Angle with ample chop room.
