The CPX900, like the APX900, utilizes Yamahas A.R.T. (Acoustic Resonance Transducer) pickup system, which uses two additional sub pickups for controlling overtones and resonance. The CPX500 makes the CPX range available at an all new pricepoint. With a spruce top and Nato back and sides this guitar projects a warm and full sound while the larger body size of the CPX range offers a bigger, fuller sound than the smaller bodied APX guitars. The CPX500 places emphasis on playability, tone and affordability. The CPX500 is fitted with a piezo pickup and the System 55T preamp to provide accurate, controllable acoustic tone when amplified. The System 55T is fitted with an onboard tuner for convenient tuning.
