Hiring a musical instrument is a perfect solution to the common problem of not knowing if the little tyke will 'stick at it' long enough to warrant buying an instrument. By Hiring an instrument you can asses over the first few months whether the pupil will continue to play the instrument on a long term basis without taking the risk of a full purchase. Our figures show that over 95% of students who initally hire do go on to continue their instrument long term and as such buy outright. INSTRUMENT HIRE / CASH BACK SCHEME:

How it works:

Payments are made every 3 months.

The minimum hire term is 3 months.

After the initial 3 month period, there is an option to buy. 50% of any hire payments made can be redeemed against the purchase of the instrument. If you received a new instrument at the original point of hiring, you would retain this instrument. If you received an instrument from our hire stock, the instrument can be swapped for a new instrument should you wish.

You are also able to redeem the 50% of your rental payments against any uprgaded instrument to that originally hired.

To hire an instrument please contact us. Details of school attended, instrument teacher or other reference are required along with names, addresses, email and telephone contact and 2 forms of identification. We cannot specify brand of instrument. Most instruments we hire out are new. You will be informed if the instrument you receive is ex hire. All instruments to leave Prozone Music on the hire scheme are serviced, dent free and in full playing/working order.

The maximum discount available is 50% of 6 months hire payments.

EXAMPLE 1 - Mrs Watkins-Murphy hires a clarinet from Prozone Music. She makes an inital payment of £45 for the first 3 month term. After 3 months she thinks that her son Miles is still in the early stages and decides to hire for a further 3 months. She makes another £45 payment for a further 3 month term. After 6 months, Miles is doing really well and she is confident that he wants to continue and progress. She decides to buy the Elkhart clarinet she hired outright. Having made £90 in hire payments, she is entitled to a £45 discount form the current purchase price of £149. Mrs Watkins-Murphy pays £104 and the clarinet is hers to keep!

EXAMPLE 2 - As above, Mr Davis hires an Alto Sax for his daughter for 6 months (@ £20 pcm). After 6 months, not only is jennifer enjoying playing her sax greatly but she is making good headway towards her grade 1. Mr Davis decides that it would be a good idea to buy an upgraded instrument as his daughter is progressing so quickly. After help and advice from Prozone Music, He decides to buy a Trevor James Classic Alto Saxophone and recieves £60 discount from the current sale price of £399 - He pays just £339.

GUARANTEED BUY BACK SCHEME:

This is ideal for those who are more confident of their 'sticking at it' capabilities or for those wishing to purchase an upgraded instrument. More expensive instruments hold their value better than more budget options. This can mean that buying an upgraded instrument or a more expensive brand of instrument straight away can be a wise option if budgets allow.

Prozone Music will guarantee to buy back any instrument purchased within the first 6 months. Provided the instrument has not been damaged in any way and has been looked after (signs of resonable usage accepted) we can offer a very reasonable buy back price.
